ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS

We require artwork files to be submitted in one of the following formats: PDF, PSD, AI, PNG, EPS, CDR, TIFF, JPEG, etc. Please ensure your artwork has a resolution of at least 300 DPI for the best quality output.
We recommend adding a 2-inch bleed area around your design. This ensures that text and images are not affected by the various finishing options available for each product.

CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED ARTWORK

When customers upload or provide their own artwork, they are responsible for ensuring that the product size ordered, artwork dimensions and proportions, spelling, wording, logos, layout, positioning and other design details meet their requirements.

Our artwork checks are intended to identify basic print-quality or technical issues and do not replace the customer’s responsibility to review their own design and the size selected when placing the order.

We will normally prepare artwork according to the product dimensions selected by the customer at the time of ordering. We will not change the ordered dimensions unless instructed or agreed with the customer.

Where a proof is supplied before production, the customer must carefully review the proof and notify us of any required changes in accordance with our Print Ready Files & Approvals terms.

PRINT READY FILES & APPROVALS

Once we receive your artwork, we will prepare it for printing where required.

Please note that we do not print in Pantone colours. Files may be converted to CMYK before printing, which can result in slight colour differences. There may also be a 10–15% shade difference between colours displayed on a screen and the final printed product due to differences in screens, colour profiles, materials and printer settings. Such reasonable colour variation is considered acceptable.

Where an artwork proof or print-ready file is provided, the customer is responsible for carefully checking the dimensions, proportions, layout, spelling, wording, logo positioning, cropping and overall appearance before production.

If any changes are required, the customer must reply to the proof email and notify us before the approval deadline stated in that email.

Where the proof email states that production will proceed automatically unless changes are requested, if we receive no amendments or objections by the stated deadline, we may proceed with printing using the proof supplied.

Once a proof has been approved, or the stated amendment deadline has passed for an automatic-production order, the artwork will be treated as final for production.

Printing Banners cannot accept responsibility for errors or design issues that were clearly visible on the supplied proof but were not reported before production.

Approvals or amendments received after the applicable cut-off time may move the order into the following working day’s production schedule. Customers requiring delivery by a particular date should confirm availability with us before ordering.

PRODUCT QUALITY EXPECTATIONS

Our products are produced using large-format printing equipment and are primarily designed to be viewed from a normal viewing distance of approximately 2 metres or more. Large-format printing should not be expected to have the same close-up appearance as photographic or small-format printing.

The final print quality is also dependent on the quality and resolution of the artwork supplied by the customer. Where low-resolution artwork is supplied, some pixelation, softness or loss of detail may be visible, particularly when viewed at close range.

Due to the nature of large-format printing, cutting and manual finishing, minor manufacturing variations may occur. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, reasonable variations in the finished dimensions may occur within the tolerances stated elsewhere in these Terms & Conditions.

For banners requiring hemming, the material is folded and secured around the edges. This process may slightly affect the usable printed area or positioning close to the edges. Customers should keep important text, logos and other essential design elements safely away from finishing areas.

Where a banner exceeds the maximum printable material width, the banner may need to be produced in multiple sections and joined. Joined banners will contain an overlap/seam as part of the manufacturing process. The position of the join will be selected to achieve a practical finished product while taking the artwork into consideration where reasonably possible.

Eyelets, hems, joins, folds and other selected or necessary finishing methods form part of the finished product and are not considered defects when produced within reasonable manufacturing tolerances.

Outdoor banners are exposed to weather, wind and other environmental conditions. The lifespan of a banner and its finishing will therefore depend on how and where it is installed, the weather conditions and how securely it is supported.

Examples of our large-format printing can be viewed in the Our Work section of our website. Customers who are uncertain about the expected appearance or finishing of a product should contact us before ordering.

SIZE & MANUFACTURING TOLERANCES

Due to the nature of large-format printing, cutting and manual finishing, the final dimensions of a printed product may vary slightly from the dimensions ordered.

A reasonable manufacturing tolerance of up to ±3cm may apply to the finished dimensions of large-format banners.

Finishing processes including hemming, eyelets, pole pockets, folding and joining may also result in minor variations in the finished appearance, positioning or usable printed area.

These normal manufacturing variations will not be considered defects provided the product remains substantially in accordance with the customer’s order and approved artwork.

If an exact finished dimension is essential for a particular installation or fitting, the customer must inform us before placing the order so that we can confirm whether the required tolerance can be achieved.

HEMMING & FINISHING

Hemming, eyelets, pole pockets and other finishing options are applied according to the options selected or agreed for the order.

Hemming involves folding and securing the edges of the banner to provide additional reinforcement. As material is folded during this process, the finishing may slightly affect the positioning or visible printed area close to the edges.

Customers should keep important text, logos and other essential design elements away from the edges and finishing areas of the artwork.

Hemming may not be suitable or available for certain banner sizes, designs or specifications. Where a selected finishing option cannot reasonably be applied, we will contact the customer where necessary.

Where hemming is advertised as free, this applies only to orders that meet the qualifying order value or promotional conditions displayed at the time of ordering.

Finishing methods are applied manually and minor variations in folds, positioning and appearance are normal characteristics of custom large-format banner production and are not considered defects when within reasonable manufacturing tolerances.

EYELETS & ARTWORK SAFE AREA

Where eyelets are selected, customers should ensure that important artwork elements, including text, logos, contact details and other essential design content, are positioned at least 3cm away from the finished edges of the banner.

This safe area is required because eyelets and associated finishing are positioned around the edges of the banner and may otherwise interfere with important design elements.

Where important text, logos or other content supplied by the customer falls within the required finishing area, our artwork team may, where reasonably possible, reposition or scale the affected content and/or extend or adjust the surrounding background colour or design to create sufficient space for finishing.

Any such adjustment is intended to preserve the customer’s original design as closely as reasonably possible while making the artwork suitable for the selected finishing option.

Where a proof is supplied showing these adjustments, the customer is responsible for reviewing the positioning, background, layout and overall appearance and notifying us of any required changes before production in accordance with our Print Ready Files & Approvals terms.

If the artwork cannot reasonably be adjusted without materially changing the design, we may contact the customer for further instructions.

EYELETS & INSTALLATION

Eyelets are intended to provide fixing points for installing and securing banners. Customers are responsible for ensuring that banners are installed appropriately for their location and intended use.

For outdoor installations, all appropriate fixing points should be used and the banner should be secured in a way that distributes tension as evenly as reasonably possible. Excessive or uneven tension on individual eyelets may cause damage to the eyelet or surrounding banner material.

Wind can place significant additional load on banners and their fixing points. Customers should consider the size and location of the banner, expected weather conditions and the suitability of the supporting structure when installing an outdoor banner.

Damage caused by excessive wind, unsuitable installation, excessive or uneven tension, inadequate support, or external forces after installation will not normally be considered a manufacturing defect.

If an eyelet or surrounding material appears defective before installation or normal use, customers should photograph the affected area and contact us promptly so that we can investigate the issue.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

OUTDOOR USE, WEATHER & FADING

Vinyl banners intended for outdoor use will naturally be exposed to sunlight, UV radiation, rain, wind, temperature changes and other environmental conditions. These factors can affect the appearance and lifespan of both the printed material and its finishing over time.

Some gradual colour fading, weathering or deterioration may occur during outdoor use and is a normal characteristic of externally displayed printed products. The rate at which this occurs will vary depending on the location, level of exposure, installation method, weather conditions and duration of use.

No specific outdoor lifespan or period of colour retention is guaranteed unless this has been expressly agreed with the customer in writing before the order is placed.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that banners are appropriately installed, regularly inspected and adequately secured for the conditions in which they are being used.

Unusually rapid or significant deterioration that may indicate a manufacturing or printing issue should be reported to us with clear photographs and relevant details so that we can investigate.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

OVERSIZED & JOINED BANNERS

Our banner material has a maximum printable roll width. Where the dimensions of a banner exceed the available printable width, the product may need to be produced in multiple sections and joined together.

Joined banners will have a visible overlap/seam where the sections are connected. The join forms part of the normal manufacturing process for oversized banners and is not considered a defect.

The position of the join will be selected with consideration to the artwork and practical manufacturing requirements. However, depending on the size and design, a join may pass through printed areas, colours, images or other elements of the artwork.

Minor variations in alignment, colour or appearance around the joined area may occur due to the large-format printing and manual joining process.

If a customer requires a banner to be produced without joins, this must be confirmed with us before ordering so that we can advise whether the requested dimensions can be produced in a single piece.

DELIVERIES & PACKAGING

Production and delivery times are estimates and begin once the order and any required artwork approval are ready for production in accordance with our Print Ready Files & Approvals terms.

Standard orders are normally printed and dispatched within the production timeframe displayed or communicated at the time of ordering. Customers requiring products for a specific event or deadline should allow sufficient time and contact us before ordering if the delivery date is critical.

Delivery estimates are based on working days unless a specific Saturday or weekend delivery service has been expressly selected or agreed.

Saturdays, Sundays and UK public or Bank Holidays are not counted as working days.

For example, an order dispatched on a Friday using a Next Working Day service would normally be expected on the following Monday, or Tuesday where the Monday is a Bank Holiday, unless Saturday delivery has been separately arranged.

Due to courier size restrictions, larger flexible products such as vinyl banners may be folded for delivery. Folding can result in temporary creases, fold marks or minor surface variations. These are normal characteristics of transporting flexible large-format material and will generally reduce after the banner has been unpacked, laid flat or installed under appropriate tension.

Where available, customers who require a banner to be rolled rather than folded should contact us before production. Additional packaging and courier charges may apply.

Rigid products or products that cannot reasonably be folded may require a specialist or alternative courier service, which may incur additional charges.

Once an order has been dispatched, delivery is handled by the relevant courier. Courier tracking information may be provided where available. If a delivery is delayed, lost or damaged in transit, customers should contact us promptly so that we can investigate the matter with the courier.

Customers should inspect parcels and products promptly after delivery and report any visible transit damage in accordance with our Returns & Refunds terms.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits any statutory rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.

FOLDED & ROLLED PACKAGING

Due to courier size restrictions and the nature of large-format products, vinyl banners and other flexible printed products may be supplied folded for delivery where Folded Packaging is selected or where folded delivery forms part of the delivery option purchased.

Customers should be aware that folding large-format printed vinyl can naturally result in visible fold lines, creases, pressure marks and temporary surface variations. The appearance of the print along or immediately around a fold may also vary slightly because the printed surface has been folded and subjected to pressure during packing and transportation.

Depending on the material, print coverage, length of time packaged and transportation conditions, some fold marks or creases may be more noticeable than others and may take time to reduce after unpacking.

These characteristics are an inherent risk of transporting large-format flexible printed material in a folded condition and will not normally be considered a manufacturing defect where they are consistent with the folding process and the product otherwise substantially conforms to the order and approved artwork.

Fold marks and creases can often be reduced by unpacking the banner promptly, laying it flat, carefully rolling it, or installing it under appropriate and evenly distributed tension.

Customers who do not wish their banner to be folded should select Rolled/Unfolded Packaging, where available, or contact us before ordering. Rolled or unfolded delivery may require specialist packaging or an alternative courier and will therefore normally incur an additional charge.

Where a customer selects Folded Packaging instead of an available Rolled/Unfolded option, the customer acknowledges that the banner will be folded for transportation and that the normal characteristics of folded transportation described above may occur.

Nothing in this section excludes or restricts responsibility for a genuine manufacturing fault, printing defect or transit damage, or any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.

PRODUCTS MAY VARY SLIGHTLY

Due to the nature of large-format printing and manual finishing, minor variations may occur between the artwork displayed on screen and the finished product.

These may include reasonable variations in colour, seam or join alignment, trimming, finishing, folds and creasing, subject to the manufacturing tolerances stated in these Terms & Conditions.

Screen colours may also appear different from printed colours due to differences in monitors, devices, colour profiles, materials and printing processes.

Such normal production characteristics are not considered manufacturing defects where the finished product remains substantially in accordance with the customer’s order and approved artwork.

CUSTOM ORDERS

All custom-printed products are manufactured according to the product specifications, dimensions, finishing options and artwork supplied or approved for the order.

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct product dimensions and options for their intended use. We will normally manufacture the product according to the dimensions entered or selected when the order is placed and will not independently change those dimensions unless agreed with the customer.

Where customer-supplied artwork has different proportions from the product dimensions ordered, the artwork may require scaling, cropping, repositioning or adjustment to fit the ordered dimensions. Where a proof is supplied, customers must carefully check how the artwork appears at the ordered size and notify us of any required changes before production in accordance with our Print Ready Files & Approvals terms.

Finishing processes including hemming, eyelets, pole pockets and joining may require material to be folded, reinforced, overlapped or otherwise adjusted. This can affect areas close to the edges of the artwork and forms part of the normal manufacturing process.

Customers requiring a particular placement, exact finished dimension, specific finishing arrangement or other special requirement must notify us before production so that we can confirm whether the requirement can be accommodated.

Once production has commenced, changes to personalised/custom-made products may not be possible.

EXPRESS SERVICE / URGENT DELIVERIES

Where available, customers may select an express or Next Working Day / 24-Hour Working Day service at checkout. Any applicable express charge will be displayed or agreed before the order is processed.

Express production times begin only once the order is ready for production, including receipt of suitable artwork and completion of any required artwork approval.

Orders, artwork approvals or amendments received after the applicable daily cut-off time may be treated as received on the next working day.

Where we agree to attempt an urgent order after the normal cut-off time, an additional urgent-production charge may apply. Any such charge will be communicated or displayed before proceeding.

Express and 24-hour services are subject to production capacity, working days, courier availability and the delivery location. Customers with a critical event or deadline should contact us before ordering so that availability can be confirmed.

For the purposes of our delivery services, a working day means Monday to Friday, excluding UK public and Bank Holidays.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, delivery options described as Next Day, 24 Hours, Express, 2–3 Working Days or similar are calculated using working days only and do not include Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays.

Saturday delivery is a separate service and, where available, must be specifically selected or agreed and paid for separately.

Customers requiring delivery for a specific event, deadline or particular calendar date must inform us of the required delivery date before production so that we can confirm whether the appropriate delivery service is available.

Selecting an express delivery option does not override the customer’s responsibility to provide suitable artwork and review any proof promptly.

Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

As our products are custom-made and personalised to each customer’s specifications, returns or refunds are not available simply because a customer changes their mind after production has commenced.

Customers should inspect their order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. Any visible damage, printing issue, incorrect size, or other apparent problem should be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery, together with clear photographs showing the issue and, where relevant, photographs taken from approximately 2 metres away.

If the packaging or goods are visibly damaged when delivered, please photograph the condition of the parcel before opening it and contact us promptly.

Where we determine that a product has been incorrectly manufactured against the approved artwork or order specifications, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Issues resulting from customer-supplied or approved artwork, including spelling, proportions, layout, cropping, positioning or other design details visible on the proof, are not considered manufacturing defects.

If an order is dispatched by us within the agreed timeframe but subsequently delayed by the courier, please contact us and we will assist in investigating the delivery. Our responsibility for courier delays will be subject to applicable consumer rights.

If a return is reasonably required for inspection, we will provide instructions before the product is returned.

If you wish to cancel an order before printing or production has commenced, please contact us immediately. Once production of a personalised/custom-made product has commenced, cancellation or change-of-mind refunds may not be available.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

USE OF GOODS & ACCEPTANCE

Customers should inspect all custom-printed products before installation, display or use.

If there is an apparent printing error, damage, incorrect size or other visible issue, customers should contact us as soon as reasonably possible and preferably within 24 hours of delivery, providing clear photographic evidence where applicable.

Customers should avoid installing or using a product where an alleged defect is already clearly visible, as continued use may make it more difficult for us to assess the cause of the issue.

Issues resulting from customer-supplied or approved artwork, including spelling, proportions, layout, positioning, cropping or other design details that were visible on the supplied proof, will not normally be considered manufacturing defects.

Normal characteristics of large-format banner production, including reasonable colour variation, finishing tolerances, folds, creases and joins as described elsewhere in these Terms & Conditions, are not considered defects where they fall within the stated tolerances.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits any statutory rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

FRAUDULENT CLAIMS & ORDER RECORDS

We maintain reasonable production and dispatch records for the purposes of quality control, order verification, fraud prevention and dispute resolution.

These records may include photographs of completed products, parcel information, weights, quantities, artwork/proof records, customer communications, courier tracking information and dispatch documentation.

Where a refund, replacement, chargeback or other claim is made, we may use relevant records to investigate and respond to the claim.

We reserve the right to challenge claims that we reasonably believe are false, misleading or fraudulent and, where appropriate, provide supporting evidence to payment providers, couriers, insurers, legal advisers or other relevant parties.

Where there is evidence of suspected fraud or unlawful activity, we may take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law.

Nothing in this section affects a customer’s right to raise a genuine complaint, payment dispute or exercise their statutory rights.

COPYRIGHT & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Customers are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights, permissions or licences to use any logos, photographs, images, fonts, text, trademarks or other content supplied to us for printing.

By supplying artwork or other content, the customer gives Printing Banners permission to use, reproduce and make any reasonably necessary technical adjustments to that content solely for the purpose of preparing, producing and fulfilling the customer’s order.

Ownership of intellectual property supplied by the customer remains with the customer or the relevant rights holder.

Where Printing Banners creates original artwork or design work for a customer, ownership and permitted use of that design may depend on the design service agreed between us. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer may use the final supplied design for the products and purposes for which it was created.

We may photograph completed printed products for quality-control, production records and internal business purposes.

We will only use photographs of customer products for promotional or marketing purposes where we are legally entitled to do so and where such use does not improperly disclose confidential, personal or third-party protected information.

Printing Banners reserves all rights in its own website content, branding, original graphics, templates and other intellectual property belonging to the business.

OTHER TERMS

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability or customer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Subject to applicable law, our liability relating to an order will normally be limited to losses that are reasonably foreseeable and directly connected with our supply of the relevant goods or services.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact, delivery and order information and for reviewing the product specifications, dimensions, finishing options and artwork associated with their order.

Customers should ensure that the product ordered is suitable for its intended purpose, installation method and location. If advice is required regarding banner size, finishing, installation or other specifications, customers should contact us before production.

Where a customer raises a dispute, chargeback or claim through a payment provider, we reserve the right to provide the payment provider with relevant order records, artwork approvals, communications, production evidence, dispatch information and other supporting documentation.

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

These Terms & Conditions should be read together with our Privacy Policy and any specific product or delivery information displayed or agreed at the time of ordering.
